Mold and Bacteria Could Accumulate on Your Bath Towels

According to a University of Arizona environmental health science professor, the towels used after a shower or bath should not be used more than 3 times without washing.

According to Professor Kelly A. Reynolds, each time you use a towel after a bath, your dead skin cells end up on it. “Bacteria and mold will begin to accumulate, but growth will be slowed as the towel dries,” she said.

Therefore, she recommends that a wash towel be used at-most 3 times without washing, provided that it is hung to dry each time.
