EMA Starts Investigating Mold Issue at a School in DeKalb County, Georgia

The Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has started investigating the presence of molds at Valley Head School in DeKalb County, Georgia.

The EMA teams, police and firefighters arrived at the school on Afternoon of Friday, March 14, 2014.

According to Anthony Clifton, Director EMA, they had received reports about the presence of mold in the school and they are trying their best to resolve the problem. He further told that EMA teams suspected the growth of mold on a wall, as it had turned black. However, it was later confirmed that it was actually black paint.

School authorities said that they had been informed about the mold in high school floor, four months ago in November 2013. They have hired a contractor who will clear first five rooms in one week, starting from March 22.
