Nuns at Stanwood Convent Sickened due to Mold Infestation

The sisters of the Convent of the Meeting of the Lord in the Stanwood convent, Snohomish County, Washington, have been sickened by mold.

Prevent Mold Growth by Basement Waterproofing

Mold growth in homes is a serious issue. It can slowly destroy the area where it grows and more importantly, it often creates health issues for the residents.

Mold creates irritants, allergens and mycotoxins (toxic substances). Anyone who inhales or touches the mold spores can develop serious allergies and health issues, like throat, nose, eyes, lungs and skin irritation and even asthma.

One of the most susceptible places for mold growth in houses is the basement. If you have a damp basement in your home, then you should certainly pay attention to preventing mold growth in your home.

Experts recommend water proofing as the best prevention strategy for mold growth in damp areas like basement. Basement water proofing prevents dampness in the area, thereby eliminating the risk of mold growth and ensuring a healthy environment for your family.

So even though it is often not thought of while planning home improvement, basement waterproofing should definitely be given priority because it can turn your damp basement into a pleasant and mold-free space.
