Section of Dighton Police Station Demolished due to Mold Problems

A mold-infested section of the Dighton police station, located at 1551 Somerset Ave, Bristol County, Massachusettswas, was demolished earlier this week by the officials.

The chief of Dighton police, Robert MacDonald said, “We lost 300 square feet of this building,”

The decision of demolishing the section was made after mold infestation was discovered. Police officials said that the whole building was tested last week and the results showed that air quality is still satisfactory.

The officials are now looking for a temporary place to move MacDonald and his administrative assistant. For the new police chief annex, both private and public buildings are under consideration
